KOFORIDUA
The Department was established in Koforidua under the then Ministry of housing, under the leadership of Mr. Asare in the 1950’s.
He set up two nurseries with attached offices, now Regional and Municipal Assembly, offices.
The location is a simple one. Just look out for Koforidua Ministry, it is on the Ministry’s junction, towards the Minister’s Residency.
The Municipal is at ‘Nsukwao’ at old estate.
The nurseries are quite expanded by the current leadership and in addition to a new one to make three.
Mr. Julius F. Appiah is there to receive you. He is the Regional Landscape Designer.
There are other interesting areas to visit, like, Aburi Botanical Gardens, Obuo Tabiri, Boti water falls, Bunso walkover canopy-walk and palatable delicacies to enjoy. All types!
